  • K9 Dazi

Live Area Detection and Human Remains Detection

Dazi is a German Shepherd who was born in 2020. At 10 months, it was discovered that her hips were extremely bad, so she had both of them replaced. You would never be able to tell she had surgery with how much she enjoys running. Her favorite thing about search and rescue is finding people buried in the snow. She also likes hiking with her human, and she LOVES carrying sticks around.

Gemini is a female Large Munsterlander who was born in 2015. She has an incredibly high drive to hunt and to please her human partner, which are the keys to her being a stellar canine partner. She has been with her human partner since she was four weeks old. Her favorite reward is a tennis ball, but she loves salmon and bacon, too!

  • K9 Phoenix

    Live Area Detection

Phoenix is a female Yellow Labrador who was born in 2017. She has been with our team since 2018. She loves people, and you can tell when she picks up someone’s scent because her helicopter of a tail will propel her along.

  • K9 Fly

Human Remains Detection, Live Area Detection, Avalanche Search and Rescue

Fly is a Karelian Bear Dog imported from Ontario Canada. She is well suited for Alaska's environment and terrain and loves spending time running in the woods. Fly's favorite snacks are string cheese and shredded chicken. Fly has never encountered an object or surface she didn't want to stand on top of to get a better view of the world around her. She cares about people and animals in trouble and tries to help them.

  • K9 Sally

Live Area Detection, Human Remains Detection, and Avalanche Search and Rescue

Sally is an Australian Shepherd who likes to celebrate her finds by washing her subject's faces! She works for food and frisbees and when she's not working, she will often find a soft dog bed and snooze with all four feet in the air.

  • K9 Rip

    Human Remains Detection and Trailing

Rip is a field trial Yellow Labrador who was born in January 2024. He comes from incredible breeding lines and has a very high drive to work. Rip loves his toys, food, and people. Even though he is young, he is making incredible progress. What a good pup!

  • K9 Daphne

    Live Area Detection

Daphne is a Golden Retriever who was born in 2022. She enjoys finding people because she loves everyone. Her favorite thing to do is to try to get as much of her hair on you as possible. When she is not searching, she loves hiking, annoying other dogs, napping, and chewing on her bones.

  • K9 Rex

    Human Remains Detection

Rex is a Karelian Bear Dog imported from Portugal; though his birthplace was a warm climate, he has never been cold a day in his life and Alaska suits him well. Rex enjoys spending time outside - hunting new smells and going places he has never gone before. His preferred snack is dried liver and he will do almost anything to get it as his reward. One of Rex's favorite things to do is howl and he can match pitch to whatever sound he is listening to.

  • K9 Zephyr

    Live Area Detection

Zephyr is a male Black Labrador who was born in 2023. Zepher loves people and his job. He also loves annoying his brothers and sisters when he is not working.
